fall in the garden

i'll confess, fall in the garden isn't quite as exciting as spring, but we're still having fun.

fall in the garden means we're planting mums to bring some color and life while the trees lose their leaves and the grass goes dormant. fall in the garden means pansies are planted by the front door. fall in the garden means spring bulbs are placed in the ground all while this gardener is dreaming of them bursting out of the soil after the long winter months. 

we love being home to do these sorts of things. it's as if the clock ticks a little slower while we're in the garden. so here's to dreaming of our spring garden yet throughly enjoying today.
