orange

the other day, i woke to the following words, "momma, it's orange outside." 

i reached over to my nightstand, grabbed my glasses, exited the warm bed and followed the little man. 

he was right! the sun was rising and caused the world to have an orange hue. 

eli and i sat on the window seat and watched as the color faded. there was nothing else in the world i wanted to do during those few minutes than watch the color orange.
