no girls

have i told you lately just how much i love being the mother of a boy and a girl? i love that if we're playing legos, there's always a princess involved. i love that if we're playing dress up, there's always a king or ninja involved. i spend my days traveling back and forth to boy world and girl world. during those special moments when we're reading a book, cuddling in bed or swinging at the park, it's as if those two worlds combine.

so, when we received two large packages on our doorstep the other day. i anxiously grabbed a pair of scissors to open them up. the children waited anxiously for me to remove the items in the two boxes so they could play in them and on them.

we cut windows in the boxes and eli grabbed a pencil.

guess he needed some time to just be a boy. no gls. no emma. he wrote on his box.

and when a baby doll invaded his box, they went to war.
