my california friends have been experiencing spring since december. but here in texas, spring just arrived. it's the crisp mornings that call for a sweater. it's the slightly warm afternoons that scream for flip flops. it's the cool evenings that require dinner outdoors.
my windows are open, i have seed packets scattered on the breakfast nook table and the dim colors of winter will soon be replaced with a symphony of spring.
i have big plans for this years garden. if i was a paper and pen person i'd jot all my thoughts down. like how i'll rotate crops. how i'll strategically place tomato plants next to cucumbers so the vines can climb up the cages and take a ride. how zinnias and zucchini will be neighbors.
oh, the excitement!
