i always have a hard time saying goodbye to valentine's day. i think it's the red and the hearts that i attach myself to every year. i love the handmade cards and crafts that litter our home.
i decorate for the seasons and holidays because i want my children to remember our home as being a special place. i want them to remember me moving throughout the house finding just the right spot to display things. i want them to remember our home constantly changing from month to month, yet, the foundation remaining the same. just like life, right? i want them to remember the red of winter, the pastels of spring, the bright colors of summer and the warm tones of fall.
i just want them to remember. what else could a mother ask for?
