thanksgiving tree

my bff (yes, i said bff) gave me this idea.

this afternoon, eli and i made a thanksgiving tree. we cut the most perfect branch off our willow oak tree. one by one, we plucked the golden leaves off the branch. i placed the branch in a milk glass vase, secured it with a few river rocks, tied a black satin ribbon around the rim, and there you go, a thanksgiving tree.

we found leftover cardstock in the craft room from a few years back. punch a hole in each cutout, tied on a piece of bakers twine and hung them from the tree.

everyday we will write what we are thankful for and the tree will become our centerpiece on thanksgiving day.

so far, i am thankful for 10 years. eli is thankful for his mommy and daddy. emma is thankful for cinderella.
