Preparing for spring

Today I headed outside to check for signs of spring. The snow has melted. There's still a chill in the air. But, I can feel spring coming. I stood next to our Bradford Pear tree and saw little buds reaching towards the sky. Our peach and apple trees show the same signs of spring. This weekend I will start my spring planting indoors. Our breakfast nook window seat will be full of seed trays for our spring and summer bounty. Excited, yes! But, I would postpone springs arrival for one more snow fall like this...

Frosty has melted, all that remains is a ball cap and scarf. They are still sitting outside our front door because I can bring myself to take them inside.

Still dreaming of snow.
