I've been so C.R.A.Z.Y. with nesting lately that I decided to actually look the term up on the internet to find out if it's just in my head. Well, it's not. Apparently it's real and it's a sudden urge to prepare your house for the baby. I guess it usually arrives in the 9th month of pregnancy but mine arrived in the 6th month or so. So, this is what I recently did...organized our pantry. Okay, does this make sense? The baby will not be eating any of this food any time soon, nor will he/she be actually playing in the pantry. Yet, I felt the urge to prepare our pantry for the baby? What's wrong with this picture?

Obsessive I know. I even pulled out the label maker!

The whole waiting for baby to arrive feels a lot like when we had our California home on the market. I was constantly cleaning, attempting to keep clean and organizing things to make a good impression on buyers. Who am I trying to impress now? We haven't had many people visiting. Oh, let me explain it this way. You know how women (
most) feel the need to clean their home before going on vacation? It's because they don't want to return from vacation to a dirty home. Same thing! I don't want to return home from my hospital vacation to a dirty home. I even reorganized, cleaned and vacuumed our master bedroom closet the other day. What's next?

I did the same thing. I got rid of all my years and years of teaching files, activities, and lots of books when I had resigned as a teacher. I am regretting it big time now. At least you are just organizing and not giving things away. I had a dream about you having the baby last night. I never remember my dreams.
