Apple Peel

I've been removing the peel from Eli's apples for a long time. Why? He would always choke on them. Well, my efforts to keep my son from choking has backfired on me. He hates apple peel and he's mastered the skill of eating an apple and leaving the peel. Here we go...First, he carefully eats around the peel. Then he scrapes every inch of the apple off the peel with his little teeth.
Second, he leaves the peel in a nice little pile.

He's also mastered the skill of putting the entire piece of apple in his mouth. Without using his hands he can eat the apple and just spit out the apple peel. Not a pretty sight but I must admit, that takes SKILL! My son is so talented.
