i'm completely obsessed with valentine's day. all my christmas decor has been replaced with glittered hearts and all things red. today, i made a heart in a jar that i originally found on pintrest. just like the christmas snow globes i made in december, i think this one is worthy to give to friends and teachers and family.
i bought 1/8 of a yard of red and white striped fabric from the craft store. this will be plenty to make a dozen or so. cut a heart template from a piece of paper and used that to cut the fabric heart. i stitched the heart with bakers twine, stuffed it with two cotton balls. then, placed the heart in a mason jar with a few dashes of red and silver glitter. finally i tied a bow of bakers twine around the lid and there you go. a sweet valentine's decoration for my home.
