the classics

i have an obsession with classic toys. tinker toys, lincoln logs, legos, wooden blocks. love them all. the children play with the same legos that i played with as a child. i just added a set of tinker toys to our collection. something about them. toys that spark the imagination.

i walked into the dollar store yesterday for a deck of cards and pool toys. i got the pool toys but forgot about the deck of cards because i was way too excited about this find. unfinished wooden blocks! bought two packs for $3 each. picked up the red (of course red!) tin from the dollar bin at target. and there you go. the kids haven't stopped playing them them.

stairs, bridges, spaceships, roads. endless i tell you.
