i saw this idea forever ago but i just now put it into place. why? i have no idea. it's seriously the best thing ever.
rice box. super simple and hours of fun that doesn't involve the television.
here's what i did:
-visited the dollar store and bought a rubbermaid sweater box and a huge bag of rice. cost less than $10.
-poured the rice in.
-put in some spoons, funnels, matchbox cars, little cups and some other random toys.
-placed it on the kitchen floor and let them go at it. hours, i tell you, hours!
sure there was a mess of rice. nothing a broom couldn't handle. i could have put a sheet down, but really, it's only rice.
