It's in the air

Spring is near. I can feel it in the air. Our Bradford pear tree is showing signs of spring. Our seed trays are planted. Our flip-flops are dusted and ready for wear. Saturday was a perfect day. We couldn't keep ourselves indoors. We headed outside for some time in the garden.

We dug in the dirt until our nails were black. We planted sunflower seeds and dreamed about them reaching the clouds in the sky.

But then, nap time drew near for two tired children. I laid little Emma in her crib, turned on her mobile and watched as her eyes grew heavy.

Eli opted out of nap time so we could ride our bikes in the street. We rode circles in our cul-de-sack. We raced, we smiled.

More perfect weather to come. I can feel it in the air.
