The first weekend of fall took us to a parade in our small town. Emma Grace was sick, so Dad stayed behind so Eli and I could enjoy the crisp fall morning. I cannot express enough how much I love living in a small town.
Local churches, schools, individuals and businesses drove down the main street throwing candy to the children. We clapped, we waved, we cheered. As if they knew my sweet little Eli would be in awe, the local farmers drove their tractors in circles right in front of us.
The pride filled the storefront windows.
And we smiled as we enjoyed the beautiful Saturday morning weather.
