A Superhero Story

No, it's not Halloween, just a superhero costume from Grandma and Grandpa. Every little boy must have a cape with a sword and something to rescue. We have all three, so here's our recent superhero rescue.
Once upon a time there was a little boy named Eli. In the late, late hours of the night (a.k.a. around 7:30 p.m.), Eli transformed from a cute little boy into a powerful, energy filled superhero. He ran around the house looking for someone or something that needed rescuing.
We searched high and low. Up and down. Inside and out (a.k.a. in Emma's carseat). Not a thing could be found that needed rescuing. Until...
We opened the front door and discovered a mean old scarecrow that was holding a nice young frog hostage. We shook our heads, superhero Eli grabbed his sword, fluffed his cape and giggled the scarecrow allowing the nice young frog to escape. Ahhhhh, relief. The garden world can sleep tight knowing the nice young frog is now free.
Superhero Eli was full of joy. The frog gave him a bright yellow jewel as a reward for saving his life. Superhero Eli removed his superhero outfit and cozied up in his puppy dog little boy pajamas. He rested his head on his pillow and fell asleep. Until tomorrow dear Eli, until tomorrow.
The End
