I am proud

Here we go…an official Melissa "I am proud" list. It's nice to think often about all the things I am proud of. What are you proud of?

I am proud of my recently repainted bathroom
I am proud of our President and I am proud to be an American
I am proud of our dirty, worn camping gear
I am proud of my photography
I am proud, proud, proud of my mom for enduring 8 broken ribs
I am proud of all our goals
I am proud that October is the anniversary of our humble home
I am proud of myself for getting the courage to run over grasshoppers with Eli's stroller
I am proud that we spent our Sunday evening walking around the lake and sliding down the playground slide with Eli
I am proud that I love cleaning our home
I am proud that we support a World Vision child in Guatemala
I am proud of the sweet yummy desserts I make my family
I am proud that I have my Grandmothers and Mothers middle name
I am proud that I took the epidural during childbirth
I am proud to be married to my high school sweetheart

I am proud that I don't mind watching the NFL, MLB, NBA or UFC…I draw the line with boxing and NHL though
I am proud of my husband for teaching Sunday School
I am proud of the beautiful artwork Eli makes me at Sunday School, so proud that I display it on our fridge and so incredibly proud that I keep ALL OF THEM
I am proud of the 20+ tomatoes I currently have growing in my garden
I am proud that I don't mind picking up crickets when they get in the house
I am proud that my mom has bought 80% of my wardrobe
I am proud that I don't need a man to put a nail in the wall, plan a garden, shave a 120 pound dog, walk in our attic, put fertilizer on our lawn or paint a room
I am proud that I worked for my dad for 7 years
I am proud that I miss working for my dad
I am proud of my sensitive, humble, strong, discerning and gorgeous husband
I am proud that I decorate our home for each holiday and season
I am proud that I look like my mom and dad
I am proud that my son asks us over and over again to read books to him
I am proud to be spending Thanksgiving with my parents in California
I am proud of my calling to be a school teacher, even though currently I only have one student and I teach in a cozy home

Once again, I am proud of this list!
