Here's what we've been up to the past week...Turning Eli into Eli Cottontail for what David calls, "his last year in bunny ears." Thank goodness we have another one on the way for me to dress up! Bunnies like to garden right? The local grocery store had an Easter egg hunt. They advertised there would also be a bunch of animals for the kids to pet. The bunch of animals fit in this box. Regardless, the kids enjoyed petting them. What do they say about Texas..."go big or go home." Well, we went home. The local grocery store also had a visit by the Easter Bunny. Just in case you're wondering, this Easter Bunny does look a little odd. Why? Because it's a borrowed costume from the local high school...it's the high school mascot...a jackrabbit! Funny huh?!?! Small town living at it's finest! Then, our community held its annual Easter egg hunt. It was fun until we came across this scary looking Easter bunny and took a picture. I was surprised that Eli wasn't afraid of it!
this blog originally started out as a way for me to keep in contact with my parents after our move to texas in 2006. it still serves to do just that. but over the past 5 years, it has blossomed into a way for me to share my simple view of a simple life, my obsessive gardening and my heart.
i am a wife, a mother, a home-maker, and a dreamer.
